(More customer reviews)Well, I have mixed feelings about this product. The first time I used it, I woke up with smaller pimples, so I got my hopes up. Then it lost its effectiveness and started to dry out my skin big-time. I moisturize my skin, which tends to be dry. I suppose this would be fine for oily skin, but I have dry skin with lots of acne, which is a curse because it means there is a lot of DEEP oil rooted in there, but I can't seem to access that oil to dry it out, without drying out the top layer of my skin. When I use this as a spot treatment, it seems to help somewhat, but not always. If you can afford it, it doesn't hurt to try it out and see if it helps you.

(More customer reviews)This helped to clear up my skin for a week or two, but then my skin got REALLY dry. I couldn't seem to find a good balance of how often to use it. If a person achieved that, it could possibly be effective.

(More customer reviews)I ordered the higher count replacement tip, because I not only could get more zits zapped per dollar, but with the higher price, I could get free shipping too!Follow-up:My zeno stopped working, so now I paid for all these zaps, but have no zeno.Maybe you should just buy the smaller size, so you don't end up paying for zaps you never use.Follow-up 2:I contacted zeno, and they sent a replacement unit for free...I guess they still want me to keep buying more zaps.

(More customer reviews)I really like Mario Badescu products so far, I received some nice samples when I ordered directly from their site, and all were great. I'm definitely a bit of a mask junkie, using a couple different ones every week(DDF sulfur mask being one of my favorites).
I'm late 20s, fair freckled skin with occasional breakouts. Combo skin with oily noise/chin, the rest a bit dry. I have some broken capillaries in my cheeks from sun damage(even though I hate the sun and do not bask in it), and though most people don't notice them, I do, and they bug me. I find this takes out a bit of redness and is definitely calming. It's also more moisturizing then most masks I use and doesn't feel like its sucking the last drop of moisture from your skin. So its nice when you are feeling a bit dry or tight.
I've read some people can be sensitive or have a reaction to Balsam Peru, which is an ingredient in this mask, but it doesn't bother me. The mask has a nice thick texture with a light smell. Overall I like it and look forward to trying some of the other MB masks.
Directly from the MB site:
Soothe And Calm Irritated Skin. Soothing Azulene, a Chamomile Extract, along with Balsam Peru, a natural anti-inflammatory ingredient, come together in this non-hardening mask that comforts irritated, red, and very sensitive skin types. Also made with Kaolin (clay) and Wheat Starch to absorb impurities in the pores.
Ingredients: PVP, Seamollient, Methylparaben, Protol, Castor Oil, Balsam Peru, Kaolin, Wheat Starch, Zinc Oxide, Quaternium-60, Titanium Dioxide, Talc, Boric Acid, Polysorbate-80, Propylene Glycol, Azulene
Good for these Skin Types:

(More customer reviews)I have to preface this review with the fact that I use other skin care and health products namely Retin-A Micro, b-control, and a good moisturization regime. Also, I have sensitive and oily skin. Moreover, I have medium-dark brown skin (for a color reference it would be Bare Escentual's golden dark), so for those with skin like mine I know how important it is to hear from someone like me.
For those who have not ever had a peel I would not recommend starting out with this. The skin needs time to acclimate to salicylic acid like any strong acid. However, for those who have been getting peels of %10 or more I would recommend using this peel.Follow the directions precisely. This skin laboratory peel does not self neutralize (like perfect peel, which is much like the professional peels), so you can time it to where your skin has more absorption. Basically, the longer you keep it on the more concentrated the peel gets (if you will). It is good to use when you have a large (cystic) pimple. It is also good for exfoliating the skin after using retin-a.The best advice I can give for this product and any peel is moisturize, moisturize, moisturize.Do not peel the dead skin because this can cause more scarring: put simply apply a good moisturizer. This product of course will not give you dramatic results immediately. It is an overtime product.I highly recommend stepping up to 30% and then higher (for African descendant skin please do within reason).I also recommend still using this once you have stepped up to help refresh the skin.
This product is good for smoothing and tightening of the skin within three days, but again couple this with a good skin care regime. This peel alone will not help, but with other hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic products your skin will look nice!Good luck and God Bless.

Product Description:
Level 1) Glycolic/35, Lactic/35, Salicylic/20
Level 2) Glycolac/60, Lactic/50 - Twice as strong as L1
Level 3) Glycolic/50, Lactic/70, BHA+, HQ+ - Twice as strong as L2
Choosing a Peel:
Glycolic: stimulates collagen growth more effectively than any of the other peels. It's small molecule allows it to slip beneath the epidermis to reach the collagen fibers below and results in 15%-25% thickening over 12 weeks. Glycolic acid generally causes little or no visible peeling.
Lactic: works on the surface of the skin to treat tone, texture, and pigmentation. The Lactic acid molecule works to pull moisture into the cells, and exfoliate surface cells which helps to perfect the skin's surface and restore the skin's natural glow.
Glycolac: With a combination of Glycolic (25%) with Lactic (35%), it provides hydration and tone improvements of the Lactic, with the increased collagen stimulation of the glycolic. It is generally well tolerated because the lactic and glycolic work on different levels or the skin.
Salicylic: a great kertolytic which means it helps loosen the bonds between skin cells to promote exfoliating. It is the only hydroxy acid which is oil soluble which allows it to penetrate into clogged pores. It can be used more frequently than the other peels without must risk for irritation.
BHA+: Hands down the best peel for acne and oily skin. You should expect some visible flaking of the skin 2 days after using the peel. This will help with active acne blemishes as well as old acne marks, and a variety of other skin problems.
HQ+: This peel is best for pigmentation and acne scarring. Similar to our BHA+ peel, with added ingredients which to help to fade pigmentation differences and even skin tone. If you suffer from old acne marks, age spots, or melasma, this peel will be the most effective in helping you.

(More customer reviews)Even though the product says "Peel", it does NOT, actually, make you peel, however, it does make a major difference in your skin's skin tone and touch.I have tried, virtually, everything from a department store to a mall kiosk expensive face products, but this one (who I heard about from my dermotologist), combined with a sunscreen will make an absolute noticable difference in your skin when used once a week.Glycolic Acid 50% may be a little high for some people with sensitive skin, however, those who have received regular treatments of other types may find this to be just right. It will sting, slightly, when applied during the first 5 minutes or so that it is left on your skin before it is washed off.It has found a permanent place on my shelf!
